Priceless Psalms/Liberated to Face Our Darkness

By Talks

      August 19

Walter Thiessen joins his series on “Welcome and Liberation” with Pete’s invitation for people to share on “Priceless Psalms.” He explores Psalm 137 – a beautiful lament that ends with a vengeful curse. Does that belong in public worship?

Priceless Psalms/Songs of Ascent

By Talks

      August12

Today we had another talk in the Priceless Psalms series. It was brought by Mark Petersen. It’s a wonderful talk that joins his experiences from doing the Camino three times with the ancient Jewish experience of going on pilgrimage to Jerusalem for the annual feasts and festivals. Then Mark shares insights from Psalms 120-134 and from life to help us all in our own pilgrimage journeys. The power point is beautiful and it would be good to go through it as you listen to this talk.

Priceless Psalms/Being Shepherded

By Talks

      August 5

Peter Fitch continues his look at Priceless Psalms. Today he turns to Psalm 23. He wonders if this famous psalm might be holding a secret about how to receive grace in the midst of crisis. He gathers comments from George Herbert, C. S. Lewis, Ezekiel, and Jeremiah, to show that God’s desire all along has been to prepare leaders that have a heart to serve others.
