Curiosity, Creativity, and Light: My Journey Toward the Sacred / June 23, 2019
Listen as Lindsay McKay reflects on her own journey with what it means for something to be sacred. To do this, she uses the ongoing story of Antoni Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia to tell a tale about the relationship between fear and destruction, curiosity and creation, with help from author Elizabeth Gilbert. Her premise is this: if humanity is part of creation, and creation is inherently good, shouldn’t we then be curious about our creative impulses instead of being afraid of them? Creativity and fear are close friends, after all. What if, instead of letting fear take the wheel, we invited curiosity into the driver’s seat in its place? Please note: this talk is really enhanced by seeing the images contained in the PowerPoint, so make sure to take a look!
