Last Sunday, we were privileged to experience this powerful message from a long-time friend of St. Croix Church, Dr. David Moore. David challenges us to consider the death and resurrection of Jesus as a message of divine solidarity and hope to all the Lazaruses of the world — to all the oppressed, tortured, cast out, and left for dead, Jesus says, “Come out, rise up, this is not the end.”
Today David Moore (friend of SCC for 18 years!) shared a prophetic invitation to see and remember Hagar and Sarah as well as the God who sees those who need a well in the desert.

Prayer is focus. If you choose to use words in prayer, words can often support your focus. But sometimes the focus means saying or doing absolutely nothing. We may need to just let it be.
“When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.” Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first the reality God intends and let it be.”
David Moore spoke to us today from his home in California. He shared Scripture from Hebrews 11 and 12 and compared life to a relay race with a host of predecessors who are cheering us on while we run our segments of the race. They weren’t perfect in their understanding of life and we can see flaws in some of what they believed, but we can still be grateful that we’re all in the same race together. We are also free to choose the ancients that we most want to learn from. Some of the most incredible people suffered greatly for important causes and yet still reverberated with joy.
