This week Vic Thiessen continued on the theme of “God’s Dream” with the help of inspiration from U2.
This week Jess shared more reflections on the poem that we used last week (“God’s Dream” by Charles Peguy) and its relevance to the season of Epiphany – recognizing the Presence of God’s heart as we experience what resonates in us.
On New Year’s Day, we had a “combined service”: we used the Celtic liturgy from the early service and added a beautiful song by Ray Funk during communion followed by a short homily by Walter Thiessen in which he invited us to consider “compassionate curiosity” as a phrase for the year.
On Christmas Eve we had a candlelight service full of the warmth of friends and family, songs, dance, readings and a thoughtful homily by Jess Williams.
For the Fourth Sunday of Advent, we had a special “Intergenerational Sunday” with stories, instruments for the kids, and a pinata to wrap things up! Janell, Lorna and Victoria took turns sharing “Stories of Intergenerational Joy.”
